Nov. 18, 4:00 PM: The United States Presidency - Where It’s Come From and Where It’s Headed. Lee Thomas, retired history teacher, will use music and illustrations, and follow a question and answer format to present his history and analysis of the American presidency. • Save the Date: Wednesday, Dec. 2 at 4:00 PM - Pushing the Envelope, A History of the Post Office through Stamps: Using images of vintage stamps, Henry Lukas, education director at the Spellman Museum of Stamps, explains how the U.S. mail has been carried since Colonial times. We know the Pony Express - but rockets, dog sleds, camels, mules? Henry will also talk about postal strikes, Parcel Post, special stamps, and the impact of email on the Post Office’s financial situation.
