About this event
Enjoy the permanent collection plus three new exhibits featuring the work of women artists: Emily Sargent, A Glimpse into Her World, Designed & Hand-Blocked by the Folly Cove Designers and The Art of Mary Blood Mellen.
Emily Sargent was the sister of John Singer Sargent. Her watercolors have been recently discovered and gifted to museums. The Folly Cove Designers worked on Cape Ann from 1938 until 1969 creating unique designs printed on fabric. The exhibit explores their origin and place in the Arts and Crafts Movement. Mary Blood Mellen was a student, collaborator and copiest of Fitz Henry Lane. Her work mirrors Lane’s in remarkable ways but with dashes of her own creativity.
Admission is $12.00 for seniors. Limited to 12.
Registration required by Monday, Feb. 27.
