The Village continues its tradition of honoring our members who have passed by floating a lantern decorated in their memory at the Newburyport Lantern Festival. This year we remembered Joyce Mrazik at this moving ceremony. Benefits from the event support ovarian cancer research, education, and support programs.

Upcoming Village Events
Note: If you cannot attend an event you registered for, make room for someone else by canceling from the calendar or by calling 978 206-1821.
- Wednesday, August 14 (4:00 PM): Members received invitations to the lobster fest with a link to a survey asking for your entree choice and whether you need a ride to the event. If you are a member and haven't responded to the survey or didn't receive the emailed invitation, you can call the Village at 978 206-1821 and make your choices. Note that members without email addresses will receive phone calls.

Free Air Conditioner: Member Mary Dissette is offering a free-standing unit on wheels, approximately 16”Wx10”Dx30”H. Hose vents out through a window. Good condition, cools effectively. Interested members can contact Mary at m.dissette@comcast.net; call or text at (978) 270-1278.
Important Reminders
- Members should make their requests for services 48 hours prior to the date of service to give volunteers time to respond, and between the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM because those who manage calls need their rest. Thank you!
- Please call the Village number, not a volunteer, to request services.

- Reserve your meal! The Village supports the meal program that precedes the Village Talks at the Senior/Community Center. Call the center (978 462-0430) to reserve your meal and then enjoy the talk!
