Dear Villager,
In the eight years the Village has operated, our priority has always been caring for members by providing services and addressing isolation. Listed below are a few of the ways the Village promotes social activities:
- The Program & Events Team delivers two dinner options each month, Village Talks on the third Wednesday at the Senior Center, and fun meet-ups at various venues.
- The Special Events Team arranges additional yearly events such as the summer lobster bake and Town Hall/volunteer appreciation event.
- Among the many activities performed by the Member Care Team is offering New Member Welcome Parties twice a year so our newest Villagers can get acquainted with other new and long-standing members.
Recently four new members, Liz Bunkartas, Debra Lukens, Mary Van Abs, and Cintra Warden, attended a Welcome Party and shared conversations over brunch. We hope you will meet and welcome our newest members at a Village event soon.
Attention Gingerbread House Makers! The Village plans to enter our gingerbread creation in this year's Port Gingerbread Festival with the help of members who are willing to lend a hand. Please contact us if you'd like to join the group in creating this year's entry. We promise it will be fun - and thank you!
