Village Meet-up: Guided Walk to a Cranberry Bog at P.I. (10:00-11:30am)

About this event

Village Meet-Up: Guided Walk to a Cranberry Bog at Parker River Wildlife Refuge (10:00-11:30am)
Visit one of the island’s cranberry bogs with Ellie Bailey and refuge volunteer, Janet Hickey, and learn the natural and social history of this traditional Thanksgiving fruit.

We’ll meet at Parking Lot 1 at 10:00 and carpool to our beginning point. From there it’s just a short walk to the bog. Dress for walking outdoors, and bring binoculars if you like. You can pick up to a quart of berries if you wish.

Refuge pass or $5.00 entrance fee
• Registration required by Mon. Oct. 26

Note: If you register and later cannot attend, please cancel on the calendar event or call 978 206-1821 to cancel so we can make room for someone else. Thank you.
