Meditation & Chair Yoga (10:00 - 11:00 AM)
The practice of meditation and yoga calms the body and mind,
lowers blood pressure,
relaxes tense muscles,
improves concentration,
lowers stress levels,
and strengthens the entire body
. Meditation creates increased blood flow to the parts of the brain where memory loss occurs. Research has shown improvement in that part of the brain when a twelve minute meditation was practiced for as little as six weeks. The Tuesday meditation and chair yoga class focuses on developing our own daily meditation practice, as well as continuing to enhance our
strength and flexibility. The first 15 minutes is a meditation session followed by a 45 minute seated and standing chair yoga class.
